TBILISI, July 13 (RIA Novosti) - President Mikhail Saakashvili of Georgia is in London on an official visit. Shalva Natelashvili, leader of the Labor Party of Georgia-an opposition entity with no parliamentary seats, made a statement today. He appealed to the British government not to receive the visitor. The statement was forwarded to the Prime Minister, Parliament and media outlets of the United Kingdom.

"Please refuse President Saakashvili audience, if you have the chance to do so. Take diplomatic and political sanctions against his corrupt one-party regime! Use internationally accepted methods of justice to make Saakashvili appoint new democratic and just presidential, parliamentary and local polls!" calls the opposition leader.

As he bitterly alleges, "Georgia is establishing democracy in a violent unconstitutional way on billionaire [George] Soros' money.

"By juridical means, Saakashvili established a totalitarian rule in my country. He has destroyed local self-government, appointed a unipartisan parliament, and taken in his own hands the right of dismissing the government and parliament.

"His dictatorship is spearheaded against principal opposition forces-mainly against the Labor Party of Georgia. It has had no representation in the national legislation ever since 1989.

"Georgian Labor activists are detained, fired from their job, and never taken on other jobs.

"The government in office is Georgia's most corrupt grouping. It has pocketed national property worth several billion U.S. dollars.

"Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania misappropriated, in 1992, a $60 million EBRD grant. The family of parliament Speaker Nino Burdzhanadze has stolen a $28 million government loan, while Mikhail Saakashvili illegally passed to his brother a $15 million grant," alleges Mr. Natelashvili.
