The Russian Information Agency Novosti begins Hotline coverage for Saturday, July 3, 2004.

MOSCOW

* The 12th Congress of the Yabloko Russian Democratic Party will continue its work. It will focus on the party's political position in new conditions and reelect party leaders.

* The Olympic Fire-2004 will arrive in Moscow from Helsinki. The torch bearers will be greeted on the Poklonnaya Hill. They will also stop at Moscow University, the Luzhniki stadium and Vasilyevsky Spusk. On July 4 the Olympic Fire will leave for Kiev.

PENZA REGION

* Federation Council Speaker Sergei Mironov will visit the Penza region and participate in the 33rd all-Russia Lermontov festival in the Tarkhany museum-preserve.

ST. PETERSBURG

* The Shuvalov Palace will host the closing ceremony of the European semi-finals of the Emmy awards (the world's most prestigious award for TV programs and films).

MINSK

* Minsk will host the celebrations of the 60th anniversary of Belarus's liberation from the Nazis. A major military parade to demonstrate modern and wartime military hardware will be the highlight of the celebrations.

SEOUL

* Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will arrive in South Korea on an official visit (July 3-4).
