MOSCOW, June 11 (RIA Novosti) - Russia is going to play host to a Grand-Prix tournament of the World's Strongest Man Super Series.

Promoter Ulf Bengtsson announced at a preview press conference that the Moscow leg of this year's Super Series would take place July 10 and 11 at Moscow's Luzhniki stadium.

According to Bengtsson, the World's Strongest Man Super Series' Grand-Prix tournaments are held throughout the year in different countries across the world. The World Champion title is awarded to the athlete with the best performance overall.

This year, the Super Series opens in the Russian capital. The participants, including the world's ten strongest men, will compete in lifting cars, logs and rocks, racing with a load of 110 to 160 kilograms in each hand, pulling a ten-ton truck, and the like, Bengtsson said. The Russian athletes Sergei Flerko and Elbrus Nigmatulin will be taking part in Moscow's tournament. They have just returned from Norway, where they had an eight-day training session. Both men consider themselves fit to compete against world leaders in the sport.
