PUTIN HOLDS CONFERENCE WITH RUSSIAN SECURITY COUNCIL MEMBERS

MOSCOW, May 29 (RIA Novosti) - Russian President Vladimir Putin held a conference with Russia's Security Council members on Saturday.

Presidential press secretary Aleksei Gromov said Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov, Security Council Secretary Igor Ivanov, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov, Interior Minister Rashid Nurgaliyev, Foreign Intelligence Service Director Sergei Lebedev and Federal Security Service (FSB) Director Nikolai Patrushev took part in the meeting.

Russian Border Service head Vladimir Pronichev and Collective Security Treaty Organization Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha also attended the conference.

In Gromov's words, the conference touched upon issues of Russia's domestic and foreign policy and border cooperation.
