MOSCOW, May 27 (RIA Novosti) - On Wednesday Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov had a working meeting with the United States' Energy Secretary Spencer Abraham. They discussed promising areas of interaction between the two countries in the energy field, the premier's press secretary told journalists.

"From the economic point of view, our interest in energy dialogue includes the possibility of attracting additional American monetary investments in the capital-intensive energy sector of the Russian economy and of discussing terms of competition on the world oil market", Fradkov said.

The Russian premier also stressed the positive changes in the practice of oil shipments to the United States under contracts concluded by the Russian companies in selling crude oil and products on the American market, Zharov said.

In the opinion of the Russian prime minister, their share in the next few years will increase to between 10 and 12 percent of the United States' total import of oil.

"The Russian government maintains dialogue with the United States in the field of world energy security and stabilisation of the global turnover of fuels, including by increasing Russian fuels sells to the world markets", Zharov said.
