MOSCOW, May 26 (RIA Novosti) - The prime ministers of Russia and Kazakhstan have agreed in mid-August 2004 to sum up the results of work on joint projects in the oil and gas, transport and space spheres, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov said on Wednesday on results of the talks in Moscow with his Kazakh analogue Danial Akhmetov.

"I confirm the strong intention to implement the projects, planned to be over within two months. We have agreed to meet in the middle of August to sum up progress", Fradkov said.

Akhtetov noted that during the talks the sides focused on cooperation in the fuel-energy complex, space and border delimitation.

"We have reached understanding on this matter in view of the instructions from our heads of state", he said.

An active process towards a deeper integration is under way, Akhmetov said.

"At our meeting in August, we'll sum up results of the intergovernmental contacts", the Kazakh prime minister said.

Over 60 international agreements within the framework of the Common Economic Environment, including except Russia and Kazakhstan also Belarus and Ukraine, are to be prepared very soon, Mikhail Fradkov also said after talks with the prime minister of Kazakhstan.

"We are very soon to prepare 60 international agreements on the CEE and sign them in 2005 to 2006", Fradkov said.

"Much work is ahead for the experts of the countries to enter the CEE", he stressed.

In the opinion of the Kazakh premier, there is no alternative for the CEE.

"Every such meeting makes the CEE closer"," Akhmetov noted.

The high-level group is now intensively working to develop the corresponding papers. In line with the heads-of-state instruction, this work is to be over in a short time.

"There are some problems in customs relations but they are not too big, only of the working nature", Akhmetov added.

Mikhail Fradkov said the Russia and Kazakhstan plan setting up a joint gas-processing venture at the Karachaganak field in Kazakhstan.

"We active discuss this question. It is one of the fruitful projects", Fradkov noted.

Russia and Kazakhstan can find a solution relying on economic expediency, he said. "There are two versions. We tend to chose one attempting to find a mutually acceptable solution", the Russian premier said.
