MOSCOW, May 25 (RIA Novosti) - The goal of forming the Common Economic Environment is "feasible and, in the next few years, the idea will be translated into reality", Vladimir Katrenko, vice-speaker of the State Duma, told RIA Novosti in the interview.

He noted that the CEE cannot become a reality overnight because "it is minute work".

In his opinion, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and Kazakhstan should move towards unification gradually.

"A set of questions has to be resolved: rejection of withdrawals and limitations, efficient build-up of economic interaction, harmonising of the legislations of all the four states, synchronising reforms", Katrenko said.

In his view, the process of integration of the four is "natural and stipulated by the economic, historical and political factors".

The Yalta summit meeting of the CEE heads of state laid the beginning of the real integration of CEE agreements, believes chairman of the Federation Council economic policy committee Oganes Oganian.

"Now we can build up the new state in line with the EU principles, not on paper as was the case before", he told RIA Novosti in the interview.

To Oganian, such integration is the command of the time.

Valentin Zavadnikov, chairman of the industrial policy committee of the Federation Council, stressed in the RIA Novosti interview that the CEE formation will make it possible, above all, to protect the interests of Russian citizens as consumers.

"The CEE formation will attract enough low-priced goods, increasing choice for our citizens", the senator explained.

In his opinion, participating in forming the CEE, Russia gets an additional opportunity to uphold the interests of Russian producers abroad. "This will create new markets for Russian producers and also, through pooling the efforts of business of the four countries, will increase its competitiveness in the world arena", Zavadnikov believes.

At the conversation with journalists on Tuesday, chairman of the Federation Council Sergei Mironov said that parliamentarians are ready to support the efforts of the four towards the CEE.

"The interparliamentary assembly of the states members of the Commonwealth of Independent States is preparing model laws on the common customs environment, free movement of workforce", the speaker said.
