IRAN STILL WINDING UP REPORT FOR IAEA

TEHERAN, May 21 (RIA Novosti) - Iran will make a comprehensive report to the International Atomic Energy Agency very soon, Ali Akbar Salehi, councillor to the Foreign Ministry of the Islamic Republic, has said on Friday.

"A comprehensive report on Iran's activities in the nuclear field will be tabled at the IAEA very soon. It will contain all questions to the IAEA answers", Salehi said. He would not cite a precise date.

The Iranian diplomat rejected all the accusations of new facts undeclared by Iran on violating the agreements reached with the IAEA.

Deadline for submitting a comprehensive report expired on May 15 and the Iranian officials have since been making declarations on "the readiness of the document, which will be passed to the IAEA very soon".

According to the agreements reached during the April visit to Iran by IAEA Director General Muhammed Elbaradei and the Agency's resolutions, intensive inspections are going on at the Iranian nuclear facilities. In the report, Teheran is to confirm suspension of work to manufacture parts for uranium-enrichment centrifuges and explain the fact of discovering traces of uranium in some accessories to the centrifuges brought to Iran from "other countries" (the euphemism for Pakistan) indirectly through the "father" of the Pakistani atomic bomb nuclear scientist Abdul Qader Khan , having to do with the contraband supply of nuclear technologies to "the rogue countries", in American classification.

The materials of Iranian nuclear scientists and IAEA inspectors will underlie Elbaradei's future report to the Agency's Board of Governors, due to sit in Vienna in June. The "Iranian dossier" will be the central theme of his report.

The Islamic Republic rejects all of Washington's accusations of the intention to have nuclear weapons. Last October Iran signed the additional protocol to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Agreement (it intends sudden international inspections of any Iranian nuclear facilities). Iran continues to cooperate with the IAEA and hopes that, after the June sitting of the IAEA Board of Governors, "the Iranian dossier" will be eventually closed and cooperation with the Islamic Republic will become planned.
