STATE'S SHARE IN 2003 OPERATIONS PROFIT OF RUSSIA'S OIL COMPLEX STOOD AT 50 PERCENT

MOSCOW, May 18 (RIA Novosti) - The share of state in the operations profit of the Russian oil complex in 2003 stood at 50 percent, the Industry and Energy Sector Ministry says in the press release, which has come to hand at RIA Novosti on Tuesday.

The oil companies' operations profit was 50 billion dollars.

Oil companies paid 25 billion dollars as taxes, including the minerals production tax 9.5 billion, customs duties and dues 8.4 billion, oil products excises 900 million, income tax 4 billion, value added tax for the CIS 1 billion, other taxes 1.1 billion dollars.
