GROZNY, May 10 (RIA Novosti) - Ramzan Kadyrov, the son of the president of Chechnya who was killed in the terrorist act on May 9 in Grozny, has been appointed First Deputy Prime Minister of Chechnya (he headed the presidential security service in the republic).

A corresponding decree has been issued by the Republic's Prime Minister Sergei Abramov who, in keeping with the Chechen Constitution, will perform the duties of the President of Chechnya until extraordinary presidential elections are held in the republic.

Taus Dzhabrailov, who was Nationalities Minister of Chechnya, has been appointed deputy Prime Minister of the republic.

Abramov announced the new appointments at the meeting conducted at the Chechen cabinet by Vladimir Yakovlev, President Putin's representative in the Southern Federal District.

The acting President of Chechnya said the main task for the near future was to include all that had been planned by Akhmad Kadyrov in concrete projects. "I think it would be the greatest tribute to the memory of Kadyrov, if the work he planned is carried out," Abramov said.
