BLAST IN CHECHEN CAPITAL CLAIMS FOUR LIVES

MOSCOW, May 9 (RIA Novosti) - According to the latest counts, four people were killed and forty-two others wounded in today's blast in the Chechen capital of Grozny, an officer on duty at the Russian Emergencies Ministry told RIA Novosti.

A bomb went off at Grozny's Dynamo stadium at 10:35 this morning, during a ceremony to mark V-E Day. Senior government officials of Chechnya and the top brass of Russia's Joint Group of Forces in the North Caucasus were among the attendees.
