RUSSIAN BORDER GUARDS SEIZE OVER 170 KG OF DRUGS ON TAJIK-AFGHAN BORDER

MOSCOW, May 5 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian border guards have seized about 155 kilograms of raw opium and 16 kilograms of heroin on the Tajik-Afghan border, the public relations center of the Russian Federal Security Service reports.

"The other day, at one of the sections of the Moscow border guard detachment of the Russian Federal Service border guard department in Tajikistan, the border guards found a cache where they seized eight bags of raw opium," the public relations center reports.

The report also says that another hideout was found on the same day at a section of the Khorog border guard detachment where the border guards seized a bag with 938 grams of heroin.
