TBILISI, May 3 (RIA Novosti) - Time works for the Georgian authorities and against Aslan Abashidze (leader of Adzharian autonomy), Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili said Monday. He visited servicemen of the 25th Batumi-based brigade of the Georgian defense ministry temporarily stationed in Tbilisi's suburb Orkhevi.
"The economy in Adzharia is almost dead, but it seriously affects Georgia's economy. In this situation, our task is to maximally consolidate. Time works for the Georgian authorities and against Aslan Abashidze," said the head of the Georgian state.
"The authorities will be patient and consecutive," Saakashvili reassured, calling on Adzharian citizens to consolidate.
