MOSCOW, May 3 (RIA Novosti) - Estonia is interested in importing Russian raw materials and in exporting its food products to Russia, Estonian Ambassador Karin Jaani said in a live interview on Ekho Moskvy radio station Monday.

Estonia's EU accession will boost its trade with Russia, Ms. Jaani predicts. She expects Russo-Estonian trade to gain momentum within the framework of the partnership and cooperation treaty between the European Union and Russia.

According to the ambassador, Russia's current share in Estonia's overall trade turnover is a mere 8 percent.

"There has been no serious trade until now, unfortunately, because of the double customs duties on Estonian goods that were set in Russia in 1995," Ms. Jaani explained.
