BAKU, May 2 (RIA Novosti) - Russian boxer Murat Grachyov has won the 11th license for his national team giving the right to participate in the 2004 Olympic Games in Greece.

At the international licensing boxing tournament for the Cup of the President of the Boxing Amateur Association Anwar Choudri, which has come to a close this Sunday in Baku, he won in the weight category of under 60 kilograms. Earlier Russian boxers received licenses in the other ten weight categories.

The last licensing tournament for European boxers involved the participation of 105 boxers from 34 countries of the continent in the six weight categories of under 48, 54, 60, 69, 81 and over 91 kilograms.

Apart from Grachyov, the tournament revealed the following winners: Azeri boxers Dzheikhun Abiyev (48 kilograms), world champion Agasi Mamedov (54 kilograms), Sydney Olympics bronze medal holder Ali Ismailov (81 kilograms), Turk Bulent Ulusoi (69 kg.) and Ukrainian Alexei Mazykin (over 91 kg.).

Overall, the Azeri boxers won nine licenses for the Athens Olympics.

The refusal by Georgian boxers to participate in the tournament (two of them got into the quarterfinal) was an unpleasant surprise for boxing fans.

President of the Azeri Boxing Federation Agadzhan Abiyev says that the Georgian side took this step allegedly to save financial resources and left Baku on the eve of the quarterfinal day, considering the possible outcome of boxing matches between their and Azeri boxers
