KAZAKHSTAN INTERESTED IN HAVING COMMON ECONOMIC ENVIRONMENT WITH RUSSIA, UKRAINE, BELARUS

STRASBOURG, April 27 (RIA Novosti) - Kazakhstan is interested in forming a common economic environment with Russia, Ukraine and Belarus, Nurtai Abykaev, chairman of the senate (upper parliamentary chamber) of Kazakhstan, told the press conference in the Palace of Europe in Strasbourg.

"Kazakhstan is sure that the common economic environment can be built up as capable of removing the customs barriers and ensuring the free movement of goods, services and capital", Abykaev said answering questions from journalists.

He is in Strasbourg for signing the cooperation accord between the parliament of Kazakhstan and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

The chief senator recalled that Kazakhstan together with Russia initiated the formation of the common economic environment and is now "going to implement the decision adopted".

To Abykaev, Kazakhstan is also interested in the development of different kinds of building export oil pipelines, including via Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, countries of the Persian Gulf, China.

"We now annually produce 50 million tonnes of oil. In ten years we will do 150 million tonnes and are, therefore, interested in establishing a ramified export network", Abykaev said.
