TBILISI, April 24 (RIA Novosti) - A state of emergency is again introduced in Adzharia (autonomous republic within Georgia) from Saturday. This decision was taken Saturday at an extraordinary session of the upper house of Adzharian parliament, RIA Novosti was told in the press service of autonomy head Aslan Abashidze.

The Senate decreed to introduce curfew in Batumi as well, from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.

A press spokeswoman said earlier the state of emergency was lifted in Adzharia temporarily - before the Georgian president's elections.

In her words, Adzharian parliamentarians deemed it necessary to reintroduce the state of emergency in connection with the resolution on Adzharia adopted Friday by Georgian parliament.

"The president and government must ensure inviolability of the common constitutional space, law enforcement bodies must terminate cases of gross violations of human rights and prepare a plan to eliminate illegal armed formations and disarm the population [in Adzharia]," says a resolution of Georgian parliament.

Meanwhile, bodyguards are leaving Adzharian leader Aslan Abashidze. The Rustavi-2 television company reports that Saturday morning, two officers of the government protection service of Abashidze, brothers Roin and Iakob Makharadze who ensure personal security of Abashidze came to the Tbilisi office of the Our Adzharia opposition organization of Adzharia.

"We don't want to be subordinate to the Adzharian leader and wish to serve the president and our homeland," Roin Makharadze told journalists.

Servicemen are still leaving the 25th motorized rifle brigade of the Georgian defense ministry in Batumi. 80 servicemen - 15 officers and 65 soldiers came to Tbilisi today.

The Georgian national security ministry reports that all servicemen from the Batumi-based 25th brigade will temporarily serve on a contract basis with high wages in one of Georgia's military units. Depending on the rank, each serviceman from the Batumi brigade will get $200-300 per month.

The 25th Batumi motorized rifle brigade of the Georgian defense ministry went out of control of the center April 19. Former commander of the brigade, Maj.-Gen. Roman Dumbadze said he is no more subordinate to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief (president Mikhail Saakashvili) and goes over under command of Abashidze.

The Georgian prosecutor general's office started a criminal case in regard to Dumbadze on the article "High Treason" and put him on the international wanted list.
