RUSSIA'S GROSS DOMESTIC PRODUCT INCREASED BY 7.3 % IN 2003

MOSCOW, April 21 (RIA Novosti) - According to the second assessment of the Federal Service for Statistics, Russia's gross domestic product increased by 7.3 % in 2003 and equalled 13,285,200,000,000 rubles ($1 is approximately equal 28,9 rubles). It was reported by the Federal Service for Statistics to RIA Novosti on Wednesday.

The first assessment was published in February 2004. According to it, Russia's domestic product equalled 13,000,305,000,000 rubles and increased by 7.3 % in comparison with 2002.

"The differences is caused by the specification of the initial information, import and export figures come from international balance of payment as of April 1, 2004," specified the report.
