The sides noted the importance of realization of the Agreement between the Russian Government and the Georgian Government on interaction in rehabilitation of economy in the zone of the Georgian-Ossetian conflict and on the return of refugees of December 23, 2000, which would contribute to the creation of favorable conditions for promotion of the negotiating process and other settlement issues.

The Georgian and Russian sides confirmed their intention to activate work on resolution of organizational issues relating to the implementation of this Agreement.

The SKK co-chairmen highly assessed the urge of the European Commission to start realizing in the conflict zone a project worth 2.5 million euros, as well as the readiness of the EC, OSCE and the UNHCR Office to expand assistance aimed at rehabilitation of economy in the zone of the conflict and the return of refugees.
