RUSSIAN GOVERNMENT'S ARMS EXPORT AGENCY TO PRESENT INNOVATIVE PROJECTS AT HIGH-TECH FORUM

MOSCOW, April 16 (RIA Novosti) - Rosoboronexport, the Russian government's arms export agency, will present original innovative projects at the fifth international forum High Technologies of the 21st Century, Rosoboronexport's press service has announced. The agency is one of the forthcoming forum's organizers.

In association with designers and makers of Russian products for military, dual and civilian use, Rosoboronexport will present original innovative projects with a wide range of application areas, including medicine, environmental protection, mechanical engineering, electronics, energy production, chemistry, agriculture, information technologies, and telecommunications, a Rosoboronexport spokesperson told RIA in an interview.

According to our interviewee, the forthcoming forum's goals include promoting the innovative development of companies and entire regions, streamlining mechanisms for marketing high-tech products, and expanding interregional and international business cooperation. It is also aimed at attracting investment for the implementation of promising high-tech projects; developing innovative infrastructure facilities (such as technological parks, innovative technology centers, and technology transfer centers); and protecting, commercializing and managing intellectual property, the spokesperson said.

The High Technologies of the 21st Century forum will run in Moscow April 19 through 23.
