"In January-March 2004 the federal budget got 228.64 billion-rouble customs payments, or 112.5 percent of the goal set", the communique reads.
In comparison with the same period last year, the growth of payments was 46 percent. In the structure of payments, the share of the export of goods increased (49.5 percent during the 2004 first three months against 40 percent during the 2003 first quarter).
"In the total volume of payments, the export customs duty was 113.05 billion roubles (22 percent more than in the goal), value-added tax - 64.29 billion roubles (7 percent more than the goal), import duty - 43.07 billion roubles (6 percent more), import goods' excise - 1.25 billion roubles (41 percent more), customs duties and other payments - 6.98 billion roubles (81 percent fulfilled)", the communique specifies.
The export customs duty is made up of payments for oil (49 percent), oil products (6 percent), natural gas (37 percent) and other products levied by a high export customs duty (8 percent), the communique explains.
In comparison with the 2003 January-March, in the 2004 first quarter the amount of payments in importing meat and food-grade meat by-products became 40 percent less. So have payments in the import of sugar and confectionery of sugar, furniture and some other products.
"In transferring excises in the import of products, the bulk of revenue to the budget was excises on cars and motorcycles (28.2 percent), wines (26.3 percent), strong alcoholic beverages (20.7 percent)", the communique reads.
