MOSCOW/HELSINKI, April 12 (RIA Novosti) - On Monday night Sergei Shoigu, Russian Emergency Situations Minister, has arrived in Finland on an official visit.

On Tuesday he will have talks with Finnish Interior Minister Kari Rayamyaki, RIA Novosti was told at the information board of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry.

"During the talks it is planned to discuss cooperation between the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry and the Rescue Service of the Finnish Interior Ministry, outlooks and directions of interaction", the information board said.

After the talks with his Finnish colleague, the Russian minister plans to visit the regional section of the rescue service in Vantaa near Helsinki and get a sidelight on the activities of the voluntary fire-fighting brigade and the helicopter medical service.

On Wednesday Sergei Shoigu and Kari Rayamyaki will continue talks, which are expected to concern the participation of the two countries' services in international rescue operations, forest-fire warning in border regions.

The Finnish side is also going to talk of its system of investigation into large emergencies.

After that, it is planned to decorate officers of the Finnish rescue service with awards of the Russian ministry for participation in rescue operations in Russia.

On the same day, Sergei Shoigu will meet with Paavo Lipponen, chairman of the Finnish parliament. Shoigu will also familiarise himself with the Marine Navigation Control Centre, where he will be shown Finnish systems for rescue at sea and the elimination of emergency situations with oil and chemicals spills.

On Wednesday night Sergei Shoigu will fly back to Moscow.
