MOSCOW, April 9 (RIA Novosti) - In the near future, increasing the pensionable age in Russia is not intended, Gennadi Batanov, new head of the Russian Pension Fund, said in an interview to the Mayak radio station.
He said that work is on now on proposals seeking economic incentives to encourage men aged 65 years and women aged 60 years to go on a pension. This would make it possible to increase their pensions by about 80 percent.
But only voluntarily, Batanov added.
At the present time, men go on a pension at 60 and women at 55 years of age.
