Reinforced police details will be posted April 10-11 in line with the Russian Interior Minister's orders, what with local officials working in accordance with special timeframes, which stipulate 24-hour duty; moreover, mobile reserves have been set up at all territorial police departments, the public-safety service's spokesman added.
In his words, the police and the Federal Security Service will conduct a joint comprehensive check of all public places, also checking all churches where official divine services will be held. Special attention will be devoted to passenger-traffic issues; among other things, they are going to check the technical state of buses and taxis operating along special routes during the holiday season.
According to the Russian Interior Ministry, about four million Russians are to visit 6,500 churches, monasteries and convents; more than 6 million people would be expected to visit cemeteries all over the country April 11 and 18.
