"As of today, nineteen persons, four women among them, suspected for involvement in the acts of terrorism have been detained", Rashid Kadyrov, Prosecutor General of Uzbekistan, told the Friday briefing in the prosecutor's office of Uzbekistan.
Forged documents, now being checked for origin, have been seized from them, he said.
During the investigation, they were found having 55 self-made explosive devices in the form of belts; 72 plastic half-litre bottles with explosives, powdered aluminium and ammonium nitrate; as well as other components for making self-made bombs.
"Investigation has trustworthy information on the commitment of the crimes by one criminal ring controlled from a centre. The bulk of them have undergone combat training outside our republic. This makes us think that the terrorist acts committed in Uzbekistan are the intrigues of international terrorist organisations", the prosecutor general said.
