MOSCOW, March 30, 2004 (RIA Novosti) - The situation surrounding the condition of Russian military ships and nuclear submarines shouldn't be dramatized, Boris Alyoshin, the head of the Federal Industry Agency, told journalists. He was commenting on the scandal about the cruiser, "Peter the Great."

"The situation, especially regarding the equipment, does not need to be dramatized," he emphasized. "Despite the extended use of available military equipment, good results are achieved."

For example, recently a rocket with a 20-year old was launched and it hit its target with the highest accuracy, Mr. Alyoshin said. "It is necessary to train the crews, to train them well and effectively, and then we will not rest against the human factor," he concluded.
