TBILISI, MARCH 29, 2004. (RIA Novosti). Georgia's parliamentary election returns for Adzharia need another thorough check, says Zurab Chiaberashvili, Central Election Commission president.
Bad trespasses in the actual poll and subsequent vote count surfaced in the autonomy, so the commission determined to have another check for every polling station in Adzharia, he said to a news conference, as quoted by the Novosti/Georgia news agency.
Inspectors will be more demanding than anywhere else in the Khuloi constituency, whose election commission sent ballot papers to the central commission unsealed, so there are ample reasons to suspect forgeries.
"We are in for a big job," said Mr. Chiaberashvili. He does not rule out election returns invalidated in many Adzhar polling stations.
