FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO ALLOCATE OVER $5MLN FOR CHECHEN KIDS' VACATION

MOSCOW, MARCH 29, 2004. (RIA Novosti). Russia's federal government is contemplating a resolution on the disbursement of 150 million rubles (over $5 million) to finance this year's summer vacation programs for children of Chechnya. This is according to the Russian Health and Social Development Minister, Mikhail Zurabov.

Speaking Monday at a Kremlin meeting between Cabinet ministers and President Vladimir Putin, Zurabov said the resolution had by now been agreed upon with all relevant agencies and that its adoption should be expected within a week's time.
