MOSCOW, March 25, 2004. (RIA Novosti) - Head of the Russian Federal Service for Financial Markets Oleg Vyugin is to create "a macro regulator of financial markets in Russia", government press secretary Alexander Zharov quoted Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov as saying.
"It is very important that this post is held by a very experienced economist, statesman and professional in the sphere of stock markets and the international banking sector," Fradkov stressed.
