MOSCOW, March 24, 2004. (RIA Novosti). Two planes, carrying tents, beds, bed-clothes, power units, rolling kitchen equipment and water purification equipment, have flown for Belgrade from Russia today, the Russian Emergencies Ministry told RIA Novosti.

The cargo is meant for a refugee camp near Belgrade. Russia will provide two tent camps that can accommodate 2,000 people.

Two more planes will deliver the equipment for the other camp on Friday, reported the ministry.

Twenty-eight Serbs were killed in attacks staged by ethnic Albanians in Kosovo last week. Albanians destroyed hundreds of homes and dozens of Orthodox churches in the province, where international peacekeeping contingents have been deployed for five years now.
