MOSCOW, March 23 (RIA Novosti) - Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone talk with Qatar Amir Sheik Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
The Russian president's press service said the two countries' leaders spoke for further development of Russo-Qatar relations, and exchanged opinions on the situation in the Middle East and the Persian Gulf area.
Qatar secret services arrested three Russian citizens in Doha in the early hours of February 19. One of them, a diplomat, was released later. Russians are suspected of involvement in the murder of Zelimkhan Yandarbiyev, one of the leaders of Chechen separatists. The Russian foreign ministry repeatedly insisted that the Russian nationals be released and returned to Russia.
