MOSCOW, March 23 (RIA Novosti) - There is a great potential in enhancing Belarussian exports to Russia, and it's necessary to make maximum efforts to use it.
This is the conclusion the heads of ten regional offices of the Belarussian embassy to the Russian Federation, executives and representatives of the republic's leading enterprises arrived at during a round table on Monday. The round table discussed the implementation of instructions of the republic's leadership on the increase of Belarussian exports to Russia this year by no less than 12%.
The round table participants expressed concern over the growth of negative balance in trade turnover with Russia.
However, in their opinion, the indicators of this year's beginning inspire a certain optimism in the resolution of the trade misbalance problem: in January, Belarussian exports to Russia grew by 37.4%, and imports by 5.7%.
