VLADIVOSTOK, March 20, 2004. (RIA Novosti). The Russian frigate Nadezhda (Hope) making a round-the-world tour arrived in Pusan, South Korea, on Saturday.

This is the last foreign port on the frigate's way to Russia, Vladivostok Naval University reported.

In four days the frigate will head for Vladivostok, Russia's sea gates on the Pacific Ocean. She is scheduled to arrive in Vladivostok on March 28.

A month ago the frigate crossed Vladivostok's latitude and made a full turn around the planet. In total, Nadezhda crossed the equator thrice.

The Nadezhda frigate of Admiral Nevelsky Naval University left Vladivostok on January 25, 2003.

The voyage is dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the first circumnavigation of Russian sailors led by Ivan Kruzenshtern and Yuri Lisaynsky.

Nadezhda's route is very close to the route of the historic circumnavigation.

An ecological research expedition is on board together with crewmen and cadets.

On the first stage of the circumnavigation the frigate sailed from Vladivostok to St. Petersburg via the Pacific and Indian Oceans, the Suez Canal and the Atlantic Ocean.

After the participation in the celebrations of St. Petersburg's 300th anniversary, the frigate visited England, the Canary Islands, Brazil, the Falkland Islands, Chile, Tahiti, Fiji, the Solomon Islands, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Nagasaki.
