TBILISI, March 19, 2004 (RIA Novosti) - A few persons were poisoned by an unidentified gas in the Tbilisi metro.
"The preliminary version says that young men entered the metro car and sprayed tear gas, which hurt several persons," Tbilisi Mayor Vano Zodelava told reporters at the scene.
Two victims were taken to the First City Hospital, according to the mayor.
Mr Zodelava added that doctors were examining the victims, studying the symptoms and trying to identify the gas.
Police did not find any vessel, which could contain the gas.
