ROSOBORONEXPORT AND NPO SATURN TO PROMOTE MILITARY PRODUCTS TO FOREIGN MARKETS

MOSCOW, March 18, 2004. (RIA Novosti) - General directors Andrei Belyaminov of Rosoboronexport and Yuri Lastochkin of the Saturn Scientific-Industrial Association have singed a general agreement on interaction on Thursday.

"The agreement outlines the directions and forms of the sides' mutually beneficial cooperation in the conduct of foreign trade activities regarding military products, developed and manufactured by the NPO Saturn," the press service of Rosoboronexport told RIA Novosti.

According to a Rosoboronexport spokesman, under the agreement the sides will develop and implement joint projects to promote military products to foreign markets, including market research, advertising and exhibition work.

In addition, Rosoboronexport and the NPO Saturn are going to take measures required to supply spare parts for all the exported products in service by foreign customers.

The Scientific-Industrial Association Saturn, based in Rybinsk in the Yaroslavl Region is among the largest Russian enterprises in the designing and manufacture of aircraft engines and gas-turbine generators.
