Its participants are over 4,600 companies and firms from 70 countries, including the traditional participant, Russia.
Yuri Perminov, director of the Russian exposition, said that this year 18 companies and enterprises from Moscow, St.Petersburg, Magnitogorsk, Krasnoyarsk, Yekaterinburg and other cities have brought their products.
The Federal State Unitary Enterprise Rosoboronexport has a separate exhibition. A number of companies have sent in their ads and catalogues.
The Russian exhibition mostly showcases products of heavy machine building, Perminov said. He recalled that in the last two to three years Russian enterprises have boosted search for foreign buyers and partners.
The Cairo exhibition will last until March 26.
