CAIRO, March 15, 2004. (RIA Novosti) - Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak congratulated Vladimir Putin on his victory in the presidential elections.
"The elections confirmed the belief of friendly Russian people in the achievement of progress, prosperity and reforms under your wise leadership. The victory will consolidate Russia's key role in the international scene," Mr. Mubarak's congratulatory telegram says.
Mr. Mubarak is convinced that Russian-Egyptian friendship and cooperation will be developing and consolidating.
