WARSAW, March 15, 2004. (RIA Novosti correspondent Leonid Sviridov) - Polish President Aleksander Kwasniewki congratulated Vladimir Putin on his victory in the presidential elections.
"The outcome of the elections speaks for the Russian society's great trust in you. Poland as well as the whole international arena considers you as the guarantor of the stable, democratic and friendly Russia," his statement reads.
According to the Polish President's press-service, Mr. Kwasniewski is confident that the mutual cooperation and Russo-Polish economic contacts "will be an important element in the formation of the new European order, based on sovereignty, mutual respect and democracy."
