According to him, 21 Russian and 91 foreign TV companies will cover the elections. All in all, journalists from 41 are accredited at the information center.
"The State Duma elections were covered by journalists from 33 countries. Their colleagues from Belgium, Denmark, Peru, Cuba Australia and other countries have joined them this time," Veshnyakov said.
In his words, journalists will be given information on the turnout at 10.00, 12.00, 15.00, 17.00, 19.00 and 21.00 Moscow time on March 14.
The first preliminary results of the voting will be announced at 21.00 Moscow time, Veshnyakov noted. According to him, preliminary results will be given hourly from 21.00 on March 14 till 8.00 on March 15. A press conference on preliminary results will be held on Monday at 10.00.
"Results from 90 per cent of polling stations will be known on Monday by 5.00," he said.
The Elections-2004 center will also give information on the elections of governors of 10 constituent members of the Russian Federation, six regional legislative assemblies and second elections of State Duma deputies in three single mandate districts, Alexander Veshnyakov reported.
