CUSTOMS OFFICERS AND COMPUTERMEN TO COOPERATE

MOSCOW, MARCH 11. /RIA NOVOSTI / -- Representatives of the Russian Customs Service (FTS) and companies on the computer market have agreed upon cooperation, the FTS press service has said.

A meeting has been held in Moscow between Anatoli Avdeev, chief of the FTS board for interaction with the business circles, and representatives of some companies operating on the market of computer accessories.

"In discussion at the meeting was interaction against the understating of customs cost, exchange of price information, as well as the removal of unscrupulous brokers from the sphere of activities surrounding customs", the FTS communique reads.

On results of the meeting, agreement has been reached on the continuation of joint consultations and working out an agreement on further steps towards easing customs procedures and minimizing the use of suspicious schemes in business, said the press service.
