MOSCOW, March 11, 2004. (RIA Novosti). Over 8,000 servicemen have already taken part in early voting at the presidential elections, the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry told RIA Novosti.
The necessity of early voting is explained by the specifics of their tasks. For instance, on March 14 they will have to provide people's security.
All in all, over 1 million servicemen and about 1.6 million their family members and civil personnel of the army and fleet have the right to vote in the presidential elections, the Defense Ministry said.
