MOSCOW, MARCH 11, 2004, RIA NOVOSTI - Igor Artemyev, in charge of the Federal Russian Anti-Trust Service, wants it reorganized within the shortest possible period of time. He made this clear Thursday as he spoke before his agency's staff.

Artemyev said it was necessary to determine what the service's new structure should be like and how many people should be on its staff. Getting enabling legislation though was another priority, he said.

According to Anti-Trust Service spokespeople, no specific appointments or dismissals were discussed at today's meeting.

The Federal Anti-Trust Service is a successor to the Anti-Trust Ministry, abolished by presidential decree as part of a major Cabinet overhaul.
