STATUS OF RUSSIANS IN BALTIC STATES TO BE CONSIDERED AT UN SESSION IN GENEVA

MOSCOW, March 10, 2004. (RIA Novosti) - The status of Russian-speaking population in the Baltic States will be considered at the forthcoming 60th UN human rights session in Geneva, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Yuri Fedotov told journalists on Wednesday.

The Russian side is discussing the observation of Russian people's rights in Latvia and Estonia at different levels, he stressed.

According to Yuri Fedotov, Russia assigns priority to these issues.
