TBILISI, March 8 (RIA Novosti) - Reorganization of any ministry or department on the territory of Adjaria must be agreed upon with the leadership of this autonomous republic of Georgia, head of Adjaria's mission in Tbilisi Gamlet Chipashvili said Monday.

Adjaria has its own Constitution and the ministries and departments on its territory have been established in accordance with it," Chipashvili told the Novosti-Georgia news agency.

"Today the structure of Georgia's Security Ministry is being reformed and it is not ruled out that this process will affect a similar structure in Adjaria," Mr. Chipashvili said. "It does not matter how this structure would be named, what is important is that its functions should be preserved."

"And the most important thing is that this question should be agreed upon with the leadership of Adjaria and reflected in the Constitution of the Autonomy," the head of Adjaria's mission said.

In this way Mr. Chipashvili responded to the fact that President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili last Saturday submitted to the country's parliament a bill on abolishment of the Security Ministry of the Adjarian Autonomous Republic.
