The meeting was held in Saint-Jean-de-Luse in the west of France.
Sergei Ivanov passed to the French defence minister the Mig-AT flight trials certificate.
"We believe the plane can well become the base for creating the Euro-Trainer, intended for the training of NATO military pilots including for flying fifth-generation planes", the Russian acting defence minister said.
"In the course of tests, over 80 planes in complicated conditions were held. Everything that depends on the military we have fulfilled. Now is the turn of the industry and businessmen to promote the plane to the world market", he said.
The Mig-AT performances: two-men crew, maximal take-off mass about six tonnes, maximal speed about 900 kilometers/hour, flying range about 3,000 kilometers, ceiling about 16,000 meters.
The potential Mig-AT market is rather capacious - from 550 to 600 units - and the profit from the export to third countries may come up to 8 to 9 billion dollars, believes the Russian Mig aircraft-building corporation. The Mig-AT is not intended for foreign buyers only. Mass manufacture allows cutting its cost and making it more accessible for the Russian air force.
