KALININGRAD, March 2, 2004. (RIA Novosti) - The Kaliningrad Khrabrovo airport will be remodeled in line with cutting edge. The issues of the concern were discussed on Tuesday at the session on air connection problems in the Kaliningrad region (Russian exclave in the Baltic).
"The present condition of the airport will not be satisfactory for the region after the EU expansion in May. Kaliningrad must have modern comfortable airport, unlike the current one," Russian President's plenipotentiary representative to the north-western federal district Ilya Klebanov disclosed.
"The project of the Khrabrovo airport remodeling has been elaborated," Mr. Klebanov said. According to the preliminary estimations, the cost of the project will amount to $5 mln. The main investors of the project are National Reserve Bank and Aeroflot.
