ROME/MOSCOW, February 29, 2004 (RIA Novosti) - According to reliable sources in Rome, the Russian-based Nafta Moskva company will hardly buy the Roma soccer club, the deal, which sports and other editions around the world qualified as a sensation.

Talks over the purchase of 63.9% of club shares amounting to 43.5 million euros came to a deadlock yesterday due to surfaced financial problems facing, above all, the main stockholder, Roma 2000 company.

Moreover, massive investigation is under way into serious financial violations committed by Roma and other Serie A soccer clubs.

Nafta Moskva has refused to comment on the matter.
