The six participating parties at the talks on the Korean nuclear problem held in Bejing on 25-28 February adopted a joint document in the form of the statement made by the forum's chairman. The document was released before the press conference given by the DPRK Deputy Foreign Minister Wan Yi who had chaired the talks.

Wan Yi said at the press conference that the contents of his statement were identical to the draft joint statement for the press that the parties had failed to agree on in the course of their consultations.
