MOSCOW, FEBRUARY 26, RIA NOVOSTI - Sergei Razov, Russia's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, met at the negotiation table in Moscow today with Piotr Switalski, Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs department head for foreign political strategies and planning. They took stock of current European developments-in particular, in the context of European Union expansion, says the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs press and information department.
Related issues must be settled as soon as possible, and to either side's satisfaction. The Russian negotiator highlighted an essential importance of that. It is necessary to tackle those problems to guarantee progress of Russia-EU contacts and European partnership as a whole, stressed our informant.
As the negotiators reassured each other, Russia and Poland share a desire to maintain a steady dialogue on vital foreign political issues.
