MOSCOW, FEBRUARY 16, 2004, RIA Novosti - The Turkish construction company Kocak Insaat Ltd., the general contractor on the Transvaal aqua park project in Moscow, says it will cooperate with investigators on the probe into the facility's Feb. 14 collapse, which left at least twenty-five people dead and more than a hundred others injured.

"With government agencies conducting an investigation into the causes of the tragedy, Kocak Insaat Ltd. declares that it will be assisting them with the probe in every possible way so that the truth could eventually be established," the group says in a communique, signed by the Russian Office Director, Ismail Kocak.

According to the communique, Kocak Insaat Ltd. has been operating in Russia for sixteen years now, and its development projects here have all been a success. It considers the Transvaal aqua park to be one of the "most significant" structures it has built in this country thus far.

The Transvaal indoor water complex is a one-off facility requiring top-level engineering expertise and highly accurate technical calculations, Kocak Insaat Ltd. points out in its statement. At each and every phase of the project's implementation, the company's engineering staff, the customer's technical control services, the designer team, and Moscow government agencies professionally and meticulously performed duties prescribed for them by the law.

In conclusion, the Turkish construction company expresses its deepest condolences for the relatives and friends of those killed in the Transvaal collapse.
